If you have a ps3 console and it is connected to the PSN network and you have loads of friends, you probably want to chat with them, using voice chat. To chat with them, you can use the chatpad, although it is not the same as talking, so if you have a mobile phone bluetooth headset, you're in luck! The ps3 connects a bluetooth headset to itself using bluetooth, as the wireless technology. So this means that you can also connect any cell phone bluetooth headset to your ps3.
Instructions:
1)Power on your ps3 console and let it boot onto the XBM menu, then go to 'Settings' then 'Asessories settings and finally select 'Register bluetooth device'.
2)Next the option that you need to select is called 'Register bluetooth headset/microphone/headphones'.
3)Then enable your bluetooth headset into paring mode, this is so the ps3 can pair with it, this is so the ps3 console can find it.
4)Select the 'Start scanning' option on your ps3 console. This will enable the ps3 to scan for your bluetooth headset.
5)Once your ps3 has found your cell phone bluetooth headset, enter '0000' as your paring code.
6)You will then need to go into 'Audio device settings' and change the input and output device, to the name of your bluetooth headset you just paired with your ps3 console.
7)Your ps3 should be paired with your cell phone bluetooth headset and will be fully functional.
I didn't know that a bluetooth headset of a mobile phone can be paired with PS3. Thanks for sharing those steps above of how to pair it. You can have a bluetooth headset from mobile accessories store.
