How to Remove a Car Subwoofer

If you need that extra storage space in your car, you will need to use your trunk for it, but if there is a big car subwoofer in it, you don't have no storage space in your car, as it takes all the room up. If don't want a car subwoofer because you no longer want to be listening to bass. If so, for both reasons, you might want to remove and to help you do that, instruction are provided below:

Instructions:

1)Open the trunk, if the car subwoofer is powered by a car audio amplifier, then before you removing anything, open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal off the battery post, in case a short circuit happens, doing this will prevent damaged to occur to other electrical items in your car.

2)Using a screwdriver, unscrew the 2 screws found on the car amplifier, that hold the speaker wires in place.

4)Once unscrewed, remove the wires from the terminals and then screw up the loose screws.

5)Once you have done that you can, if you have a large car subwoofer with a big, heavy magnet, it is best to remove it from the enclosure first. This is so when pick up the subwoofer box, it will be lighter, therefore making it easier for people who are not strong, when it comes to lifting heavy stuff.

6)If you want to remove the sub from the enclosure, get a screwdriver and unscrew all the screws that hold it down. Once you have done that, place the screws in a safe place, now the car subwoofer will be free and you can pull it out and then disconnected the speaker wires that are attached to it.

7)Using your hands, remove the enclosure from your vehicle, place the enclosure and the subwoofer in a safe place, in a location that is dry and dust free, as you may want to sell them or install them back into your car in the future.
