If you have a spare GameCube memory card, you can use it with your Nintendo wii console to save progress made in GameCube games. By looking at the Nintendo wii from the front, you will see no slots for the memory card to go in. This is why most people seem to think that it doesn't support GameCube memory cards. But in fact it does officially support them. Nintendo have moved the GameCube controller ports and memory card slots in a different location on the wii. This is to give the front panel a tidy and uncluttered look.
1) Ensure that your Nintendo wii console is switched off.
2) Look at the top, you will see two plastic hatches that you can open and close. Underneath them are the ports for GameCube controllers and slots for memory cards. The flap that you want to open is the right side.
3) Use your finger nail to flip open the plastic panel. You will see two memory card slots 'A' and 'B' that are available to use. To insert a memory card into one of them, line up the bottom part of the memory card with the slot and push it in.
4) When you remove the memory card, always remember to push down the plastic panel. This is to prevent dust or dirt getting into the ports and slots.
