How To Disable Traction Control On Toyota Supra MK4 Twin Turbo

You can permanently disable and turn off the traction control system on your Toyota Supra Twin Turbo. This will allow more control of the car when upping the boost if its raced tuned to spec. Many enthusiasts have noticed that when turned on, due to the rear wheels spinning out so rapidly, the power gets transferred to the back far too much. This can cause problems during day to day driving because every time you are starting off you will be spinning the wheels regardless. Its strongly suggested for track use on days you want to get loose on the road. Either wise deactivating it would be the most ideal for a huge horsepower 2JZ engine.

1) Turn off the car ignition.

2) Pop the hood and look for the fuse box.

3) Take the lid off and look at the diagram printed on there. The fuse that you want to remove is called 'TRC'. It varies from import, US to UK models, but its a 7.5 amp fuse and is identified as a red color.

4) Pull the fuse out from the holder. Start up the car, if you see an orange warning light appear on the cluster then you have pulled out the correct fuse. Doing so also disables the 155 mph speed restriction limiter on UK spec MK4 cars.

5) You can remove the orange light inside the dashboard if you prefer a stealthy look. You will need to pull out the clock and unscrews things apart through.
