How To Turn Off PSP UMD Auto Start

From the factory all PSP consoles are setup to have UMD auto start turned on. So whenever you insert a game it will start automatically without you having to load it manually. If you want to play around on the XMB menu and then start the game, you might want to turn off the PSP UMD auto start feature.

1) Switch on console.
