Some possible solutions to fix headphone distortion:
1)Get hold of another pair of earphones and test them on your same music player. This is to find out if you can hear any distortion on that pair as well. If you can't, then that clearly shows you earphones are the cause to the problem, so get a new pair!
2)Turn down the volume on your music device. Cheap music player result in cheap sounding music quality and usually start to cause distortion at high volumes, thats why people buy a iPod or iPhone for music. So what i suggest you buy a headphone amplifier, hook it up as it can help increase sound clarity and reduce distort.
3)Make sure your music player is fully charged up. Low battery power can cause the signal to clip at high volume levels because the music player loose voltage, as the bass kicks in.
4)Turn down the bass on your equalizer and increase the treble.
