How to remove a car battery from your vehicle

If your car battery is dead or its need charging, you will either need to replace your car battery with a brand new one or charge it up using a battery charger. In order to do that you have to remove the old battery.

Instructions on removing your car battery from your car:

1)Turn off your engine and open your car's hood and locate the location of the battery. Once you have found it, using correct size spanners, remove the bolts that hold it in place. Once you have done that, the bolts will become loose that hold the car battery in place. Once that's done, then detach the negative terminal first from the post and then the positive terminal last. Its best to remove the negative terminal from the battery's post first because if the positive wire touches the car's metal bodywork you can cause your battery to short out.

2)Once the bolts are removed, keep them in a safe place and remove battery from your vehicle. A car battery is really heavy, so i would advice somebody strong to remove it from your car. Once you have removed the terminals carefully from the car's battery, get your hands and lift the battery using the handle provided on the battery. If the car battery does not have a handle, then grip the sides of the battery and lift the battery out.
