If don't have a HD telly to connect your ps3 console to and you have a PC monitor screen that is spare, that can display a HD resolution, then you can connect your ps3 to that computer monitor.
Instructions on how to connect a ps3 to a PC monitor (These instructions are only for a PC monitor screen that has no hdmi input and only has a vga connection:
1)You will need to buy a cable that transfers the ps3 output display signal, into a vga connection, to provide a HD resolution, to your PC monitor. This type of cable can be bought really cheap on Ebay.
2)Once you have that cable, connect the male vga connector into the female vga connection on the back of the PC monitor.
3)Connect the other end of the lead, into your ps3 console.
4)Power on your PC monitor and power on your ps3 together and it automatically find the best resolution and fresh rate that is support by your computer monitor and that's it your console and your PC monitor will be successfully setup.
