If you own a Nokia n96 and the speaker is not working, then below are the solutions to get the speaker working again:
1)The speaker can not work because of a software related issue, as sometimes the firmware on the Nokia n96 can corrupt and give the wrong commands to the wrong components. So i would suggest to update the firmware on the Nokia n96 to the latest version. If there is no latest firmware update available for your Nokia n96, then reinstall the same firmware again onto the mobile phone.
2)The second solutions would be to replace the flex cable.
