If your PlayStation 3 is failing to turn on, apply these tips that are provided below, to fix this common problem:
)Make sure that the power cable is correctly and securely inserted into the PlayStation 3 console. Sometimes the power cable can become loose, therefore causing your ps3 failing to power on.
)Check fuse in the power cable's plug, using a fuse tester. If the fuse is blown, then replace it and hopefully your ps3 should now turn on successfully. Sometimes what happens is the fuse is blown inside the plug because of a short circuit.
)Reset the ps3's hard drive and clean the hard drive connectors. To reset the ps3 hard drive is simple, all you do is remove the hard drive from the ps3 and reinsert it back into the ps3. You can use a can of compressed air to clean the connectors of the hard drive.
)If resetting and cleaning the hard drive didn't work, then the power cable could be the cause to this problem, so if you have a computer, you can use your computer's power cord to power this console, as it fit into the ps3's power cable's socket. Insert the computer power cord into the ps3 and switch the electrical outlet on. If you ps3 is powered on, its clearly shows that the power cable was faulty, so as a temporary fix, you can use your computer power cord to operate the ps3.
