1)Make sure that the power cable is correctly and securely inserted into the PlayStation 3 console. Sometimes the power cable can become loose, therefore causing your ps3 failing to power on.

Insert the computer power cord into the ps3 and switch the electrical outlet on. If you ps3 is powered on, its clearly shows that the power cable was faulty, so as a temporary fix, you can use your computer power cord to operate the ps3.
