If you want to make your CB radio more powerful, then carry out the solutions, that i have provided below:
)If you have a cheap CB antenna, it is always best to upgrade you CB antenna. The CB radio's performance always depends on how good the antenna can perform. You could have the CB best setup in the world, if you antenna is cheap, your radio will not perform at it's best.
)Place your CB antenna more higher then it's currently placed at, facing in the direction towards the sky because the more higher it's placed, it will help towards you getting out more further.
)Make sure you antenna swr reading is below 1:5, the lower the reading is on a swr meter, the more better your antenna will perform, when you dead key your microphone.
)To make your CB radio powerful, you can adjust the dead key wattage pot, inside your CB radio, and peak and tune the pot, to gain a little extra dead key wattage.
)Buy a linear amplifier, to increase the RF wattage of the dead key your CB radio produces. A linear amplifier, is ideal because it's a device that connect in line with your CB antenna and CB radio and it helps your CB radio gain large amounts of extra dead key output power. When you connect a linear amplifier to your CB radio, make sure the radio's dead key is set below 10 watts, or you will cause damage to the linear amp because it will overheat.
