Can't decide which type of soldering iron you need to buy to solder with?

OK, before buying a soldering iron, you need to ask the question below to yourself?

1)What do you need the soldering iron for?

If you are going to solder outdoors, a portable soldering iron will suit you requirements the best, as you can take it almost anyware. If you are going to solder electrical components and similar stuff, then i suggest you buy a soldering iron that is 20 watts or above that wattage, no more then 35 watts. The reason why you need to buy a 20-35 watt soldering iron is because if the solder iron is too hot, then you can damage delicate electrical components.
