If you have a TomTom 720 car sat nav for more than 2 years and the battery life is very poor and doesn't last more than 5 minutes on a full charge, then the battery inside it is faulty. So you will need to order a genuine replacement battery and remove the old battery and replace it with the new one you have ordered. The battery not holding charge problem is very common on all TomTom car sat navs, especially the 720 model, so you' re not the only one facing poor batter life problems. I have a TomTom 720 car sat nav myself and also faced this issue and replaced the battery pack and battery life was excellent once again! So i am 100% certain that replacing the battery pack will solve the problem:)
