To prolong the lifespan of your car battery, you can regularly top it up with battery water, when the level is reached below minimum. This will help keep the elements inside the car battery healthy, preventing them to dry out. You can't use regular tap water, the water has to be special deionised water for it to work inside the battery. It is available to buy in a small sized bottle from all major car part retailers.
1) Locate your car battery and look directly at the top of it. You will see four circles with a X placed in the middle of them. These are plastic caps that you will have to remove, so that you can pour battery water into them.
2) Get a 'Flat' head screwdriver and remove all four plastic caps.
3) Remove the cap from the bottle of battery water and gently pour an even amount into each hole. Remember don't overfill the car battery with water. If the battery water is getting pushed out of the battery holes, then you have filled it to much.
4) Place all four caps individually back into there holes. Then using the 'Flat' head screwdriver, screw them all tight. You have now successfully performed maintenance on your car battery.
