How To Test a PS3 Bluetooth Wireless Headset If Its Working

You can connect a PS3 Bluetooth wireless headset to your PS3 console and use it to communicate with other players on the PSN network. The headset connects wireless to your PS3 console via Bluetooth technology. This provides you with the freedom to walk around your house without any wires. If you are having problems with your PS3 wireless headset and you are not sure if its works, you should test it. Testing allows you to see if the microphone can pick up your voice. So you can hear how it would sound when you speak to others using it.

1) Press the 'Power' button on your Bluetooth headset to switch it on.

2) Press the 'Power' button on the front of your PS3 console to switch it on.

3) From the XMB menu, go to 'Settings', 'Accessory Settings' and 'Manage 'Bluetooth Devices'.

4) Then select the 'Yes' option to accept the request from the headset.

5) Then select the 'Start Scanning' option. While enabling this option, it will try to look for your headset via Bluetooth and try to pick it up.

6) Once the headset is found, select it to pair it directly with your PS3 console.

7) Go into 'Audio Device Settings' and speak clearly into the microphone. You should be able to hear your own voice through the speaker inside the headset. There will also be a amplitude meter onscreen, showing how loud it is picking up your voice.
