It is possible for you clean your snooker table balls. The benefit of you doing so will be improved table feedback and a shinier looking finish to the round surface. However, how you clean it is very important that you get it right the first time. This is because some of them are made from material called phenolic resin. Based on personal experience, you using any cleaning solution such as fairy liquid can take the color away from them. So this is definite something you should not try at all. So i had to dispose them all and replace them with brand new ones because of doing so. When it came to the clean of the new set of balls, i had experimented which way is the best to apply without impacting there originality. After a few of days of trying different things out, i finally identified the best way to clean the balls.
1) Remove all balls from snooker or pool table layout and place down the cues.
2) Fill a plastic container with warm water from the sink.
3) Dip each ball carefully into the box.
4) Allow the water to soak into the surface of the balls for 5 minutes. This way it prevents you scrubbing the dust off manually with a cloth, preventing any friction to rub the colors off.
5) Then pull each ball out and give them a quick wipe down with a soft towel. Once you have done all of them, place them back into the tray ready for the next frame with your team player.
