If you want louder sound with your PSP vita both from the internal speakers and when you plug in your headphones during audio playback, the factory levels probably will not fulfill your needs. When your console was produced, it has a restriction placed on it by default. It is called the AVLS. This is basically put in place so that you don't go over the maximum volume and it will stop you from going all the way up. It has been put it place to protect you from any potential hearing damage to take place. Out of the box, the PSP vita is far too quiet for by liking regardless. So i have discovered a brilliant way that you turn off the AVLS feature permanently. This will allow the full volume the console is capable of without any restrictions in place. This makes gaming, watching movies and playing music an much more enjoyable experience with having to use any kind of portable amplification.
1) Power on console.
2) Tap Settings.
3) Tap Sound and Display.
4) Then you will see an option called 'AVLS' with a tick option next to it. What you want to do is untick this feature so that it is deactivated.
