How To Connect Portable CD Player To Car Cassette Player

If you still prefer to use a cassette player headunit in your car and still want to listen to the occasional CD, you can connect a portable CD player to it. You will require purchasing a cassette player to AUX adapter kit in order for this to work. You can get them cheaply from Argos or Asda. The sound quality you gain from doing this is fairly decent and will certainly sound better than a hissing tape deck.

1) Place the cassette adapter directly into the tape slot in your car, simply by pushing it in. It should automatically place itself into play mode.

2) Place the 3.5mm wire from the cassette adapter into the headphone out socket on your portable CD player.

3) Turn on your portable CD player, press play, select a track of your choice and adjust the volume on it.

4) Now turn up the volume on your car stereo and adjust audio settings such as bass or treble.
