How To Fix Cassette To Aux Adapter Kit Thats Not Working

Sometimes car audio users experience problems trying to get there brand new cassette to Aux adapter kit to work with their ipod or mp3 player. Common problems are that it keeps ejecting itself every time or doesn't play altogether and keeps skipping. Most of the time the kit is perfectly fine and is not faulty. What usually is the cause to this is the auto reverse feature on many stereos tricking its functionality. All you need to do is perform a small modification to the internals and you will fix this common problem in no time.

1) You will need to open up the actual cassette adapter itself that goes into the tape deck. So get a small sized Philips head screwdriver and remove all the small screws.

2) Remove the two sections together separating them from each other.

3) There are a few small plastic gears attached together in the right hand corner. Don't confuse the ones that are in the middle they are for the tape to turn on the motors inside.

4) Remove the small section of gears from the tape. These parts sometimes confuse older style tape decks and keep enabling auto reverse every time for no apparent reason.

 5) Next line up the casing and put the screws back in.
