How To Play Xbox 360 On Laptop Screen With VGA Cable

If you don't actually have a spare television in your household, however you own a laptop with an input vga port, you can connect your Xbox 360 console directly to it. This will then allow the laptop screen to display the output picture on your laptop screen. Please be aware that not all laptops have a VGA port that allows input signal to be sent it. If you try this and you get a blank screen, chances are that the VGA port on your laptop only support output display signals not input ones. To connect your Xbox 360 console to your laptop screen, you will require a special Xbox 360 VGA cable. 

1) Connect the VGA cable directly into the port on the laptop. This is very simple. All you need to do is push in the connector and tighten the two screws on each side to secure the connection in place.

2) Connect the other end of the cable into the back of the console TV port.

3) You will have two remaining plugs that are white and red, these are not for picture/display. These are for sound only. You can connect these into an external HiFi amplifier or using an adapter to convert it for use with your headphones.
