If your car alarm is not probably configured with the sensitivity, then either the car alarm will be too sensitive or not at all. You want to adjust the car alarm sensitivity to ensure that the shock sensor picks up anything suspicious. Its not that hard at all and literally all you really need is a flat head screwdriver. Now whether your car alarm is stock or aftermarket, the location will differ where the shock sensor is placed. Its best in most cases to refer to the user service manual of the location of the shock sensor to save you time find it yourself.
1) Locate the shock sensor. Its usually a small box that is mounted under the drivers side or usually you will find it behind glove box.
2) There will be a dial to adjust the shock sensitivity. Upwards will increase it and downwards will reduce the car alarm system sensitive.
3) Get your flat head screwdriver and turn it up slightly.
4) Knock the different panels around your car with your hand. If the alarm goes off straight away you have found the optimal sensitivity for your car. If it still doesn't go off, then go back and turn it up and retest to see if you have found the perfect sensitivity for your car alarm system.
