There are many causes that can make the vibration force feedback to stop working on your Xbox 360 controller. In this blog post today i will explain all the possible ways and solutions to get that rumble back in action!
You can try these simple solutions below, but there is no 100% guarantee it will fix it:
These tips and solution should make your hands vibrating again!
1)Load up your game you want the vibration feedback to be enabled. Next go into your game's menu and go into the options settings and find the controller settings. In the controller setting double check if the vibration is turned on, as in some games the vibration is turned off by default. This is a common mistake that can trick you into thinking your vibration feedback on the controller has a fault.
2)Get some good quality batteries can sure make a difference on the strength and the feel of the vibration feedback. The more quality the batteries are the more charge they can hold and more voltage they can give to the motors. Using good quality batteries from brands such as Panasonic or Energizer, will help towards making the vibration feel more stronger and powerful in your hands. If you have use rechargeable battery packs for your Xbox 360 controllers. Check if there are leaks or damage to the battery pack itself and also make sure there is nothing wrong with the charging usb lead. Sometimes what can happen is there could be something wrong with the charging lead that you use to charge up the battery pack. Therefore it won't charge your snap of battery pack fully, which can cause weak a vibration noise and feel. This can then trick you into thinking your rumble feedback no longer works properly on your pad.
3)This might sound a stupid to you, but try hitting your controller on a table or any other flat surface. Doing this can move the wires that are connected to the motors because sometimes they can become loose. There is a slight chance if you hit the controller on the table, the wires move back into place. Which can means there is a small chance your vibration on your controller will work again!
If you have tried all the possible solutions that i have came up with and they don't work, then i think you should try to dissemble your controller apart and see if the wires are connected to the motor. I have left you a very useful video that shows you how to open up a Xbox 360 controller. Opening up the pad can help you figure out if the wires have become loose. If you see that the wires are loose or disconnected off the motors, get a soldering iron and some solder wire and solder them back on. Once you have done that put the controller back together and load up a game with a continuous vibration option to test and see the vibration feedback works?
