To get access to psp recovery mode, you will need to install custom firmware onto the psp. If you are running official firmware on your psp, you will not be able to access the recovery menu.
Instructions on how to access the recovery menu, on a psp running custom firmware:
1)If your psp is powered on, turn it off by flicking the power switch and holding the switch to power mode, for 5 seconds.
2)Now press the R button on the psp console and flick the power switch upwards.
3)Once you have done that, the psp will boot into recovery mode.
