How To Replace Battery In Skullcandy Crusher Headphones

The Skullcandy crusher uses a second speaker driver called the 'Sensation55 driver' to make you feel the subwoofer bass vibrations all over your head. This speaker is powered by a small integrated headphone amplifier to push it at low bass frequencies at 55HZ. It requires you to insert a fully charged AA battery into the holder, so the amplifier can power up. Overtime, the battery life will decrease and the voltage will drop. Without inserting a fully charged battery, the sensation55 driver will not work. Just normal sound would come out of the regular REX 40mm driver, no bass you can feel will happen. No special torx screwdriver is required to install a new battery, so it is a fairly straightforward process for you to do.

1) Locate the right headphone cup. Near the headphone cushion at the top, you will see a small button. Press in this button to release the headphone ear cup cushion from the plastic housing.

2) You will see a small AA sized battery holder compartment which the battery fits into.

3) Ensure that the new replacement AA battery is the lined up the correct way in and carefully push it into place.
