How To Make Your Computer Subwoofer Bass Sound Louder

A computer has either an on board or external PCI sound card to produce a music output to your speakers. Depending on the amount of sound quality you want to accomplish, you can connect 7.1 surround sound speakers to your computer. This will give you the full movie experience like you would hear from a cinema. These type of speakers come with a subwoofer. This is a special speaker that is made to only output the low frequency spectrum. This will play the deep boomy sounds, which to most is known as 'Bass'. If you are not satisfied with the amount of bass your computer subwoofer produces, there are a few ways to improve it.

1) Most computer subwoofers are ported. This makes the enclosure more efficient towards producing low extension bass with less power from the internal amplifier. Aiming the circle port directly towards the back of a wall will improve bass response dramatically. This works because the sound waves are being bounced back onto the wall.

2) Get into your sound card settings from 'Control Panel'. Find the equalizer, this is a software which allows you to change the amount of DB from bass and treble sounds. The very first slider on the equalizer towards your left will be the slider to control the bass frequency. The higher you set it, the more the bass level will be sent out to the subwoofer.
