Treble can make your music sound fun. Sometimes the small circular tweeter in the middle on most infinity car coaxial speakers tend to sound a bit harsh and leave your ears ringing. You can tone down the harshness usually by adjusting the equalizer on your car head unit. The new style infinity reference and kappa series also allow you to manually adjust the amount of tweeter brightness loudness directly via the driver. There is a flickable modulation switch that allows you to increase or decrease it by 3 decibels.
1) Switch off your car ignition so that you car stereo turns off.
2) Unscrew the mesh metal grill from the speaker.
3) Look at the bottom of the tweeter next to the brand name. You will see a small switch with different positions. Flick it towards the left to reduce treble.
4) Reposition the grill back on and reinsert screws back in and tighten with screwdriver.
