How To Make Headphone Wire More Stronger

If you have just bought a new pair of iphone headphones, you want to ensure that they last as long as they possibly can. The most common problems with them getting replaced in the first place are because the headphone has stopped working or has become disconnected. Inside the 3.5mm jack plug and ear pieces that go into your ears, they are soldered into their connectors to hold it in place. Once the soldering becomes brittle from everyday use pulling and tagging, its eventfully going to come off at some point. You can make the headphone wire more stronger by adding heatshrink tubing to prevent his happening in the first place. This will make the connection more rugged and tighter and increase the lifespan.

1) Get one piece of heat shrink tubing and slit in the middle into half.

2) Slide the heat shrink tubing across the wire onto the jack covering it all up.

3) Get a heat gun or a hair dryer and warm up the area. This will then tighten it up and allow it to form shape securely as possible.
