How To Clean Laptop Fan Without Opening It

Overtime, long continous use of operating your laptop computer, the fan inside will eventually get clogged with dust and dirt. If this happens, more heat will be trapped inside and the fan noise will increase because it has to work extra hard for it to extract the warm air out. On all laptops, you will usually find the fan area with vents that is placed on the side of the laptop. Now the last thing you want to do is take your laptop apart and void the warranty. You could also risk breaking something if you have never done this before. Thankfully, there is a easy way around this problem which is using a can of compressed air. This is the best way to clean your laptop fan because it will clean it from the outside and blast the dust away.

1) Shut down Windows to power off the laptop. You don't want the fan to be spinning while you are going to clean it as that can cause damage to it.

2) Attach the supplied straw that comes with the can.

3) Point the straw towards the vents on the laptop and give it a few quick blasts. The air pressure created will force all the dust to be broken down and force its way back out of the vents. Keep doing this until you notice that the laptop fan is fully cleaned out.
