How To Make Any IEM Have More Bass No Amps Required!

If you want to make your IEM more bass heavy then you can apply a small modification. This will involve you to place tape on the vents applied on each ear piece. This will increase the bass response and will also stop sound leakage. It something you should give a try, this trick also works with over ear headphones as well. This combined with a good equalizer and powerful headphone amplifier will provide you with the best iem bass experience you can possibly get. The best thing about this trick is if you don't like the overpowering bass, then you can always have the option to reverse back to stock.

1) Cut off a small piece of electrical insulation tape of the roll. This comes in all sorts of colors, you can purchase a color that matches the wire to make it look factory.

2) Find the air holes on the iem ear piece. On most that we have come across they are placed at the bottom or on the top.

3) Get your cut piece of tape and gently press it over the vents. This will block any air escaping out creating a small sealed enclosure for the small speaker inside the housing. All you need to do now is apply the same procedure.
