Laptop computers, especially the screens particularly are prone to collecting dust due to their nature of having a glossy design. Now you need ensure that you perform clean in the correct way, in proper techniques can cause steaks to appear or even light circular scratches to appear under visible lighting conditions. Now the best way to clean a laptop screen without damaging it is using a soft lint free cloth. This is because the fibres contained on it dont have any dust that you would get with a regular kitchen paper. In terms of what cleaning solution you should use water works just fine, nothing fancy is required to be realistic. You don't want use anything strong such as window cleaner because you are not cleaning the glass, you are just wiping the outer plastic layer.
1) Power off your laptop.
2) Pour a few drops of water onto the cloth.
3) Rub the water over the screen very gently starting from the top left to right doing this until you get all the way to the bottom.
4) Use a different cloth or the same one with the unused side to wipe off the water.
5) Allow the water on the screen to dry off for a couple of minutes before you powering it on.
