If you are indeed of having a wireless connection
to use with your laptop or tablet, without being at home, you can turn on the
wifi hotspot on your Samsung Galaxy S4 phone. This will use the network data
and transmit it over the wireless network with your device. It will have its
own wifi name and password just like at home with your regular broadband
connection. Please be aware of the terms and conditions for your network
provider in terms of allowing tethering. Some network providers are prone to
block you using your Samsung galaxy s4 as a hotspot if you go over a certain
data allowance that they have provided you on their tariff.
1) Launch the menu by pressing the home button
found at the bottom of the device.
2) Select 'Apps' and 'Settings'.
3) Go onto 'More Networks' > 'Tethering and
Mobile Hotspot'.
4) The first option displayed on the screen will
say either on or off for the mobile hotspot.
5) Turn on the wifi hotspot on your Samsung
Galaxy S4 smartphone by simply swiping the slider to turn it on.
Please ensure that you turn off the wifi hotspot
when you are not using is. This is because it will drain your battery because
the phone is accessing the network and the wifi is turned on at the same time.
