The Sony psp console, on average use can last around 6-8 hours depending on certain factors, such as brightness level, cpu speed etc....
Here are my favorite tips and ideas to increase the battery on the psp console:
1)Reduce the brightness level of the screen to the lowest possible level. Decreasing the back light on the screen will reduce eye strain and increase the battery life of the psp console dramatically.
2)Turn off the WLAN switch, when your not using it. The WLAN feature is usually left by mistake, so be sure its off!
3)Underclock your cpu speed to 166 Mhz, will slow down the psp, although you save 39.7% of battery life on the console, if you do so.
4)Decrease the speakers volume to the lowest possible level. Doing this will also help towards saving more battery life because the more louder the speakers are, the more voltage they will drain from the psp battery pack.
5)Make sure you console if fully charged up to its maximum level, before taking it off charge.
6)Upgrade you stock battery with a double capacity battery.
7)Instead of playing games and watching movies from a umd disc, back them up onto your memory stick. Then boot them from the memory stick, this will save battery power because it makes the psp run more efficient and quickly, without draining tremendous amounts of the battery life.
