If the memory card you have inserted into your Samsung Phone has not been detected, you will not be able to store or access existing data from it. Most of the time, if its a new memory card or one that has not been used on the device before will need formatting. This is because it might have certain config files from another device that is causing it not to be picked up. Also the files on the memory card could be corrupted causing other micro sd problems. First we will begin with a format. But before you do, try cleaning the memory card and port and reinsert it to see if gets recognised.
1) Remove the memory card from your Samsung
Phone.
2) Place it into an adapter into the memory card
reader on your laptop or computer.
3) Once you have slotted it in, it will pop up in
my computer.
4) Right click on the memory card name and select
the option called 'FORMAT'.
5) An integrated free formatting tool for all
memory cards will come up in your Windows computer.
6) Select Start to begin formatting your Samsung
memory card that is not working. This should take around about 30 seconds or
less to complete.
7) Once the not working Samsung memory card
formatting is completed, remove it from the adapter and place it back into your
phone. Restart your phone before going into the memory card to refresh its
settings.
