How To Fix Nokia 8800 Poor Battery Life Problem / Upgrade Solution

Nearly all Nokia 8800 users face problems with the battery life running out to quickly. This can become a persistent problem, especially if you constantly use your mobile phone on a daily basis to make calls. From the factory, the Nokia 8800 comes fitted with a very small sized BL-5X battery. Due to the limited space in the battery compartment in the phone, it can only hold a maximum charge of 600mAh. For a working solution to improve this, you can replace this will a more powerful battery called the BL-6X.

This has the ability to hold more charge because it has a maximum capacity of 700 mAh. You could also buy a spare so you get X2 700 mAh in total, which you can use when the first one is dead. It is the same size as well, so its basically a straight swap. So no modifications are required for the fitment. When buying this upgraded extended battery, please ensure you purchase an genuine /original. Copies are cheaper for a reason. They don't hold the charge for very long, built poorly and should be avoided at all costs!

1) Press the power button at the top of the mobile phone to power it off.

2) Turn the phone around. You will see a metal silver color cover held in place. Slide it downwards to remove it from the back housing.

3) You will see the small 'BL-5X' battery fitted at the bottom. Use your finger to pry it out.

4) Get your new 'BL-6X' replacement battery pack and insert it into the battery compartment. This with the shiny Nokia hologram logo facing upwards.
