If your PSP console is not reading the inserted memory stick or can't detect it at all, then you will run into problems saving your games or loading them. Inside the slot there are small gold pins inside, they directly touch the ones on the memory stick. If there is dust or dirt, this will cause a bad electrical conductivity to occur. Learn how today to fix your PSP not reading a memory stick.
1) Power off the PSP console.
2) Remove the memory stick from the console.
3) Get a soft clean cloth and wipe down the gold metal contact on the memory stick.
4) Using a cotton bud gently place inside the slot and move it upwards and downwards. Also blow inside the slot.
5) Reinsert memory card to see if it will now be readable at all.
