Learn how to setup your PS2 with your AV receiver amplifier
If you have a home entertainment surround sound system connected to your television and have a PS2 console, you can connect it directly to achieve a better audio experience. Since this console is outdated today many are unsure on how you can make the connection. The recommended preferably method is to use a Toslink digital optical cable that is made from fiber. Its literally plug and play.
1) Power off the PS2.
2) Look at the back near the fan, you will see a small square shaped socket with a red light.
3) Plug in the digital optical cable into the console.
4) Connect the other end into your external equipment.
