If your Sony walkman MP3 player has frozen then a quick factory reset can get it working most of the time. This will help prevent unstable operation and random freezing when listening to your music on the go. This reset method has been tested on the NWZ-F800 series and should also work for other similar models that are available. This will not delete your music or other related data files and will only reset the operating system software.
1) Look at the bottom of the device.
2) Identify the small reset button.
3) Get a small pointy object such as a paper clip and insert it into the reset button.
4) Hold it down for at least 10 seconds and attempt to power it on.
