How To Reset Nokia 6300 Security Code Back To Factory

If you own a Nokia 6300 and you have forgotten the set security code password to get into the phone you can reset back to factory default. Its easy to do, no special cables, tools or software is required. This trick may or may not work depending on what particular firmware version you are currently on.

1) Make the security code screen come on your screen.

2) Hold down the green call key and while doing so quickly take out the back battery.

3) Then remove sim card and re insert the battery pack.

4) Switch on your Nokia 6300 and go onto the home screen.

5) Again hold down the green call key and at the same time enter the following into the dialer keypad '#9658452174521*'.

6) You should see a message on screen saying  'Security code restriction disabled'. Now that its permanently removed, you can change it to something more memorable.
