If your PC monitor doesn't have built in speakers, you will need to purchase plug able external speakers as an alternative. If you are playing a games consoles such as a Xbox 360 or PS3 on your PC monitor and have no internal speakers, you might find this article useful. If your PC monitor supports HDMI, it can carry both digital audio and video signals. For a VGA connection, you will need to purchase a separate adapter to split the sound from the RCA signals into a 3.5mm socket.
1) Find the green 3.5mm jack from your main computer speaker and connect it into the 'Output' socket on your PC monitor. You will usually find this at the bottom at the rear side.
2) Your set of stereo speakers will require power to be provided to the amplifier. So plug it into a mains socket and switch it on. The power indicator will light up when there is power.
3) Turn on your game console and adjust the volume on your speakers.
