How to stop a car subwoofer from blowing car fuses

Below are some possbile solutions that can prevent your fuse from blowing:

1)Upgrade the power and ground wire that connects to your car head unit. Don't use the car's stock factory wiring to power you car head unit because its can't handle the extra power. So get a 15 gauge wire and run it from the car's battery and wire it to the positive wire on the car stereo plug. Get another 15 gauge wire and and ground the car radio to the closest metal and connect it to the negative wire on the plug. Bad and old  factory wiring can usually cause the car subwoofer and amplifier to blow out fuses.

2)Never overload you amplifier with too many speakers and subwoofers.

3)Always connect your amp directly to the battery, using a separate power cable. Don't use a cigarette lighter socket as a constant 12 volt source for your car amp because it can't draw much electrical current from there.

4)Use a thicker gauge wire that connects the amplifier to the battery and ground.

5)Put a bigger amp fuse in your fuse holder. For example: if your fuse is 20 amps, replace it with a 30 amps fuse.

6)Check for any loose or damaged wiring.
