If you have AVG as a anti virus software to hunt and find viruses and remove them from your computer, it may take a long while. You can speed up the scanning speed of AVG, by make a adjustment to a setting that can make AVG faster than Avast.
Increasing the speed of AVG anti virus is simple, the instructions are below:
I am using the free version that is AVG 9.0, which i have used as an example showing you how to increase the speed and making it scan for viruses more quicker.
1)On your desktop, locate were the AVG icon is and right click and select open, using your mouse.
3)Once you have selected computer scanner, at the bottom you will see a slider that is set to automatic, like in the example image below:
4)Using your mouse, move the slider towards the right, making the slider set to fast scan instead of automatic, like in the example image below:
