If you are having problems trying to charge your iphone, the first thing to consider is to try a different cable and plug. If your iphone still has problems charging up, then the port inside the phone may need cleaning. Dirt build up from everyday use in your pocket can cause the metal contacts inside the port to become weak. Most phone shops say they are going to charge you to change the port, but what they do is clean it. Cleaning the port is easy to do, anybody can do it with the right set of instructions that i am going to provide you with.
1) Power off the iphone. This is best to do
because you don't want dirt to short out inside the charging port when the
phone is on. This could damage the battery and other sensitive electrical components
inside the phone.
2) Now that the apple iphone is powered off, you
can begin with cleaning the charging port.
3) Get a toothpick or a cotton bud and insert it
into the dirty charging port on your iphone device. Under a well-lighted
location, twirl around the object and push it inwards and outwards on each
metal contact pin that you can see.
4) Give the charging port a quick blow with your
mouth to remove dust particles that you have just broken down.
5) You have now cleaned the charging port on your
iphone. This 99.9% fixes most problems on your iphone that are related to
charging problems. If this doesn't work, the actual port it will self will need
replacing. This can be a tricky job if you don't have the right set of tools
because the solder points are small to work with, do you might want to book the
phone in with a mobile phone repair shop.
