If you notice that your iphone is not loud as when it was purchased brand new, you may need to clean the clogged speaker grill on your iphone. The speaker grill can get clogged up with dirt and dust from your pocket during everyday use. This causes the sound to be blocked when listening to, unless this is cleaned the sound will be muffled. The best way to clean a clogged speaker grill on your iphone without actually opening up the device is to use water and a good old cotton bud used for your ear. We have seen lots of iphone users waiting in a big queues at the apple store to get there speaker port cleaning when you can do it yourself.
1) Turn the volume down your device and ensure
that you are not playing something during the clean.
2) Get a cotton bud twist the fluff on one side
of it so that its pointed.
3) Dab the pointed side into water, not so much
that its dripping wet just a little.
4) Place the wet side of the cotton bud into the
holes of the speaker grill and twirl it around a couple of times. Keep doing it
until you have covered all the different sides.
5) Once you done that, use the dry side of the
cotton bud to clean any water out.
6) To test if cleaning the clogged speakers on
your iphone made a difference, launch the music player or go onto YouTube. Turn
up the volume to the max you should hear an improvement in volume, clarity and
bass.
