If you have a Giffgaff sim card and you want to access internet on your mobile phone using the sim card, then Giffgaff should automatically send you the settings and your mobile phone should be setup for internet access. However, some users that is on Giffgaff get a error message on their mobile phone when they try to access the internet which is "packet data connection not available". If you are also experience the packet data connection is not available for your mobile phone, below are the solutions to fix it:
1)When the packet data connection is not available, remove the battery cover and remove the battery pack for 30 seconds. Insert the battery pack into the mobile phone, replace the battery cover and switch on your mobile phone.
2)Check if the mobile phone has the Giffgaff internet settings and make sure they are configured. If your mobile phone doesn't have them, you can sent a text message and type "SETTINGS" to 2020 and you will receive them.
3)Clear the cookies and cache found in the internet browser settings.
4)Make sure the data and time is correct.
5)Search for the network transmitter manually.
6)If solutions 1-5 don't resolve the packet data connection not available problem, then you would need to get in touch will Giffgaff via email, as they don't have a customer service. Giffgaff might have placed a bar on the internet service on your sim card; therefore you can't access the internet.
