How To Fix Gameboy Advance Not Saving Games


If you have made progression in a particular game and you want to save the progress on your Gameboy console and it won't let you there is a technical error occurring. Did you know that the game save is stored directly inside the game cartridge and not the console memory itself. Overtime, there is a small battery inside that becomes weaker after every use. If this battery is dead, then the console will fail and not save games at all. You will need to replace the battery inside to restore the game save functionality back.

1) There is one triwing screw that you will need to remove found on the cartridge itself.

2) Remove the top part so that the circuit board is now exposed.

3) You will see a small circular shaped watch battery that is circular and silver in color. Get a flat head and pry it out and fit in your replacement of the same kind.

4) Now all you need to do is put the plastic case cartridge back together and your all done.
