Your psp game or movie is stored on a umd disc, unless you made backups running custom firmware. Inside the umd disc, there is a small disc inside the has all the data stored onto it and protecing it is a umd plastic case. Sometimes you might have dropped your psp umd disc and cracked your umd disc case. Once the umd case is broken, the psp umd drive no longer reconises the game. The only way you can make umd disc to restore it and make it work is to buy replacment umd case and using it to replace the broken cover.
