If your psp console is not reading the memory stick you insert into it, the solutions are below that will help you fix this problem:
1)The first thing you should try is to format the memory stick because it could have corrupted data onto it, which can make your psp not recognize the memory stick.
2)If formatting the psp memory stick is still not making the psp reading the memory stick, then i suggest you clean the contacts on the psp memory card, as static can cause interference and prevent the psp from getting it recognized. Just get a tissue and wipe clean the contacts on the memory card.
3)If your experiencing problems with the psp memory stick with custom firmware installed to your psp console, simply insert the memory stick into the psp and hold the button R and turn on the psp. You will see a recovery menu, in that menu select usb toggle and your memory stick will be named under flash 1, if it's recognized by the psp. If your memory stick shows up in the recovery menu as flash 1, then your psp can read it, but only the XMB menu on the psp can't.
If that is the situation, then update the custom firmware version to the latest version, as the custom firmware your psp is currently running can have a technical bug.
4)Replace the psp memory card stick slot, this will involve you to dissemble your psp.
Thanks a lot
