The security code on the Nokia N8 from the factory is set to 12345. If you can't remember this for some reason because you have forgotten it, you can reset it back to default. There is a special method that is used to remove the security code on your Nokia N8 without the use of any software or extra equipment. If you are on the older version firmware then its most likely to work. Since we believe this was patched later on during newer firmware versions being released.
1) Hold down the green call key while powering off your mobile phone.
2) Remove the battery for 5 seconds and put it back in. This will place it into service mode.
3) Power on the phone holding the green power key, up button and number 5.
4) The screen should flash four times, followed by a Nokia hand shake logo. A message will appear saying 'Reset Security Code?' with Yes No options. Press the key on the right to select Yes.
5) The phone will reboot and the security code will be permanently removed from your mobile phone.
