6x9 speakers and subwoofer don't mix together its simple.I say this because if you have a car subwoofer in your trunk that produces very low bass notes and the bass is loud and the sub box is powered by a high power car audio amplifier then the sound quality from your 6x9's speakers will be canceled out.This is because the subwoofer bass notes cancel out the 6x9 speakers totally because the 6x9 speakers (fitted in a parcel shelf) and the subwoofer is close too together.So if you have a powerful ground pounder in your trunk then 6x9's are useless in my opinion, instead upgrade your stock front speakers you will be more pleased if your going for better staging and sound quality.
