What is the best positioning for a car subwoofer? Find Out Now!

Many car audio enthusiast's get confused when placing the sub woofer box enclosure in there rear trunk. Some say that it is placement is a must and its usually better facing towards the back seat will make the sound quality better and make the woofer play deeper bass notes, but it depends on your listening taste's.Facing it to the front interior of the car will make you feel more vibrations and your ears can pick up lows frequency notes better. My own advice is to experiment with different positions and see if you can hear and tell any difference.Every car has its own unique design of the trunk. Some trunks have more volume space than other trunks.More bass depends on many factors such as how big your car is and have you applied any noise proofing to your insides of your trunk.

First try to face you subs to the rear of the trunk and get in your car,can you feel more bass?Make sure you don't stand outside the vehicle when doing these placement test's because your not going to be standing out when you are driving are you?If you want more pump out of your woofers and want to get more high quality bass for free and want to turn more heads then try placing your subs towards the back, leaving at least 21 cm space between the trunk and the port.Leaving 21 cm of air space, only applies to your enclosure if you have a basspass or ported / vent box design.Doing this will increase spl and reduce the rattle of your trunk lid.To stop the rattling i suggest you should apply some dynamat sheets to the inside of your trunk.
